Peecker Sound at the home of Real Madrid
Peecker Sound had an important and exciting "away-match" at Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid. Designed by architect José María Castell back in 1944 and originally called Nuevo Estadio Chamartin, the stadium was given its current name in 1955 as a tribute to the much-admired president of Real Madrid, Santiago Bernabéu. Respectful of the "sanctuary" of world football, but confident that they could captivate and engage the clientele of a truly unique meeting place, the technicians of EQC Audio - the exclusive distributor of Peecker Sound products for Spain and Portugal - literally "hit the pitch" to provide the sound system at Realcafé Bernabéu, the famous restaurant/café directly overlooking the stadium pitch.

This year, Realcafé Bernabéu was renovated and expanded, now covering an ample area of 500 square metres. The terrace, designed by renowned interior designer Josè Arnau, is situated on two levels and houses two distinct spaces: the café on the ground level and the restaurant on the upper level. Another recent addition at the stylish Madrid café are live performances of DJs and bands, including private concerts by artists of the calibre of Los Secretos and Antonio Vega, all accompanied by a spectacular view of the football pitch thanks to the terrace and the glass wall approximately 80 metres long.

So Peecker Sound adds faithful sound reproduction to the best aperitifs and cocktails in Madrid, not only during the match, but for the entire night of the Movida Madrileña. Featuring extreme compactness and excellent ergonomics, the Peecker Sound audio system, consisting of twelve amplified speakers from the Forty series (eight 4012MH/A models and four 4015MH/A models), adapted perfectly to the elegant and exclusive ambiance of the celebrated venue frequented by the Madrid elite, scoring a rousing success.

But we have now reached the extra-time minutes, and while the EQC "players" are exhausted but satisfied, the spectators are still fired up and ready to keep the party going. We just have to wait for the upcoming summer opening to discover the developments in this unusual match between the galácticos of pro audio and those of Madrid's nightlife.
