Peecker Sound audio is in the limelight for the new season (the tenth) of Sali&Tabacchi of Reggio Emilia, a trendy dine&dance club that has now virtually monopolized the night-time entertainment scene in the Emilia region (the occasional social gatherings of the Reggio football and basketball teams held at the venue are now famous). Thanks to a restaurant (on the lower level) offering not only the local flavours but also the best traditions of Italian cuisine, and to an elegant upper level space featuring an interesting choice of after-dinner music, Sali&Tabacchi has always been characterised by its selected and sophisticated clientele, as well as by a select few - but tried and true - DJs and vocalists, always top names in the house music and commercial dance circuits, both in Italy and abroad.
Established a number of years ago thanks to the inventiveness of a group of entrepreneurs in Reggio Emilia who actively participate in the management of numerous night spots (the most recent project is called Salino, in Milano Marittima - the pearl of the Romagna Riviera), Sali&Tabacchi managed right from the start to give a spot-on interpretation of current fashions and trends, also thanks to the fact that this venue has a decidedly two-faceted appearance. The club, in fact, seamlessly combines the best of the rustic style of the exterior building (a farmhouse from the late 1800s) with the refined and fashion-forward style of the restaurant and roof bar, in line with contemporary "image venues". The intention of the "enlightened" partners was to create, in a renovated rustic farmhouse in the southern zone of Reggio Emilia, two distinct environments in terms of the type of use, but linked by a common style: the pub-restaurant zone on the ground level and, climbing the imposing stairway adorned with glittering lights (see images), the spacious lounge bar with the dance floor surrounded by assorted tables and sofas, the heart of fun at the disco.
From Wednesday to Sunday, in the over 400 square-metre piano bar on the upper level, patrons from all over northern Italy can truly appreciate the Peecker Sound audio system, with its six Forty series 4012MH model speakers and four 40SW15 model subwoofers. The system generates a clear, deep, and powerful sound, created by famous DJs the likes of Lucio Vallisneri, Gianni Morri, Frankie P and Maurizio Gubellini, one of the best-loved "console masters" of the Pineta club in Milano Marittima - a partner venue of Sali&Tabacchi, along with other well-known spots like Zangola in Madonna di Campiglio and Sottovento in Porto Cervo. No less outstanding are the "resident" vocalists - Marco Lanzetta and Faber - who were able to appreciate firsthand the exceptional mid-frequency response of the Forty model 4012MH speakers, positioned on the long side of the roof bar, right above the much sought-after tables.
"We wanted to give the environment a touch of originality and exclusiveness that would be something special, to create a venue that will endure over time and not just a couple of seasons. So, like everything else, the audio system had to assure great performance and be perfectly integrated; in this regard, I love the white speakers that integrate seamlessly with the walls," commented Fabio Zambelli, one of the "Big Bosses" of Sali&Tabacchi. "After ten years of work, we can proudly proclaim that the challenge has been met successfully, even though we'll continue to evolve to keep our leading position. The exhibitions of work by young Italian artists and the one-night "Back in Da House" event are just a couple of the new initiatives underway in this regard," concludes Zambelli. |
